The Certificate of Final Completion is a critical document in the UAE construction industry that marks the successful conclusion of a construction project. It is issued after the expiry of the defects liability period and following the verification that all works have been completed according to contract specifications and UAE building regulations. This certificate is particularly important in the UAE context where strict compliance with both federal laws and individual emirate regulations is required. The document confirms that all defects have been remedied, contractual obligations have been fulfilled, and the work meets all relevant quality and safety standards. It typically follows the issuance of the Taking-Over Certificate and serves as the final step before the release of any remaining retention monies and the contractor's final payment.
