The Seaway Bill is a fundamental document in maritime trade, particularly suitable for situations where the negotiability of cargo ownership is not required. Under UAE law, specifically the Maritime Commercial Law (Federal Law No. 26 of 1981), this document serves as both proof of receipt of goods by the carrier and evidence of the contract of carriage.
