Q. What counts as 'AI uses'?
A. An AI use is counted when you:
- Create a new document with AI
- Ask AI any question about an existing document
- Review a document with AI
- Explain a clause with AI
- Amend a clause with AI
Q. What counts as a ‘Premium document’?
A. Upgrading to a Premium document lets you:
- Use AI
- Export to .docx
- Copy text
Q. What security do you use?
A. Genie AI is ISO27001 and GDPR compliant, and you can view all of our security documentation in our trust center.
Q. Do you train your models on my documents?
A. No we don’t use customer created content to train our LLMs, if this changes in the future we’ll be sure to let you know, and you’ll have the choice to share or not share your documents with us.
Q. What currencies can I pay in?
A. You can pay in $, € or £, whatever works for you.
- Plans will be €300 / €3000 / €10,200 (🇪🇺 EUR)
- Plans will be $320 / $3400 / $11,000 for (🇺🇸/🌎 USD + Rest of World )

Q. What if I don’t pick a paid plan?
A. You’ll automatically be placed on the ‘free’ plan with 1 Premium document, and 5 AI uses.
Q. I thought you were open-source and free to use, why have you introduced pricing?
A. Our public template library and clause library is still open-source, with law firm and in-house legal team contributors, worldwide.
We have been giving away templates, clauses and AI usage for 7 years now.
The value that our 80,000 users got from Genie (for free) would have cost $millions if they'd used external counsel. This makes us hugely proud, but we can’t grow like that forever.
We need to think about what’s next for Genie.

Q. What is a Legal AI Assistant?
A. In our case, Legal AI can accurately draft, review, edit, red-line, and comment on legal documents (i.e. letters, policies or contracts), at the same quality and accuracy of a lawyer or paralegal.
In other cases, Legal AI can assist with legal discovery, due diligence, litigation and compliance monitoring.
Q. How accurate is Genie AI?
A. Genie AI is very accurate, as rated by lawyers. Our proprietary datasets, and our own surveys has the following conclusions:.
- 84 groups of lawyers rated our AI as 96.3% accurate overall
- 44 groups of lawyers rated our AI contract review as 94% accurate
We will push these numbers higher as our models improve.
We have a panel of world-class senior legal advisors who also codify their guidance into training our models so they're getting better every week.
Q. Can I create and share my own templates?
A. Yes of course! You will be able to import your own google doc or word templates to Genie AI. Once imported you can edit these, and gather usage data, including which areas most frequently get negotiated.

A. With our legal document generator, our ‘Draft/Create’ feature allows you to create custom templates for almost any document (we list a few popular types below):

Q. Which jurisdictions can Genie AI support?
A. Currently GenieAI supports all jurisdictions, however we have only quality tested for UK and USA.
Q. Which languages does Genie AI support?
A. Currently GenieAI supports all languages, however we have only quality tested for English.
Q. How do I use a template in Genie?
A. To use a template first select “Template library” from the left menu, then go into a template you want to use. From there you can click on the “Use Template” button, which will open the template in Ask mode. You can edit or ask questions about the template here. Once you are ready you can export or share the finished document with others.
Q. What happens if my usage runs out and I need more Premium documents and AI uses?
A. If you run out of documents, you can easily upgrade to enable more document usage, just click on the ‘upgrade’ button at the top right while logged in, or alternatively speak to us at “sales@genieai.co” to discuss upgrade options.
Q. How many non-AI documents can I have in Genie?
A. You can have an unlimited number of non-AI documents in Genie.
Q. What is your policy on cancellations and refunds?
A. You can cancel your plan at any time and we will not renew your plan at the end of the subscription time. At this time, we do not offer any refunds.
Q. Do you offer technical support?

Q. What access levels, permissions and controls do you have?
A. Users within your organisation
- All users who are invited to your organisation have the same set of permissions.
- They are able to create, upload, export, and use all AI features within Genie AI.
- They can also see all of the organisation's projects, documents, templates and clauses.
Users invited to Genie through a single document
- You can choose whether document users can have Read, Review, or Edit permissions:
- Read: Can read documents and comments written by others
- Review: Can read documents and comments, and suggest changes
- Edit: Can read documents and comments, as well as suggest changes and edit the document.
- They can be added to the document as a separate party OR into your party (and also into your organisation).
- If you add them as a separate party: They will have their own organisation separate to yours, and will have the permissions granted by you on the document when you invite them (read, review, or edit)
- If you add them into your party: you also have the additional option of adding them to your organisation account at the same time (this option is checked by default).
